Drea Brown Performs with UW-Waukesha Jazz Ensemble

Drea Brown, West Allis, performed with the University of Wisconsin-Waukesha Jazz Ensemble on Dec.5 as part of a concert that also featured 'Fessor Hurst's Windy Hill Wizzards Ragtime and Jazz Orchestra.

The Vocal Jazz Ensemble, directed and accompanied by assistant professor of music Nancy Van Brunt, performed many well-known tunes in jazz stylings including "The Pink Panther," "One Note Samba," "Hey! Ba-Ba-Re-Bop," "Tuxedo Junction," "Your Cheatin' Heart" and "Blue Moon." The group will also sing several holiday favorites – "White Christmas," "The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire)" and "Home for the Holidays."
